Baptisms (Christening)

  • All who are baptised receive God’s Grace and become full members of the Church.

  • Baptism is not restricted to babies or small children!

  • Baptism can take place within the Sung Parish Mass at 11am on Sundays or at other times, by arrangement.

  • If you would like to explore Baptism for you or a member of your family, please contact the Curate.

  • Couples – at least one of whom lives in Christ Church Parish – have a right to be married at Christ Church.

  • However, there are a number of other “qualifying connections” which could entitle you to be married here, even if you are not resident in the parish. You may be able to be married at Christ Church even if one of you is divorced with a former spouse still living. (Sadly, neither the Church or England nor the British State allow same sex marriages to take place in C of E churches – or by C of E clergy.)

  • If you’d like to get married at Christ Church please contact the Curate.

  • When someone dies it is usually the Funeral Director who contacts us first.

  • However, if you have lost a loved one and need help, advice and support – or just someone to talk to – please contact the Curate.
